WATERLOO— The 24/7 Black Leadership Advancement Consortium will host a virtual conversation on Wealth Equity featuring Brookings Institute Fellow and acclaimed author, Dr. Andre Perry, the Iowa SBA and Business Equity Practitioners on February 25, 2021. Andre Perry is a Fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings, a scholar-in residence at American University and a columnist for the Hechinger Report. A nationally

known and respected commentator on race, structural inequality and education, Perry is

a regular contributor to MSNBC and has been published by The New York Times, The

Nation, Washington Post, TheRoot.com and CNN.com. Perry has also made

appearances on CNN, PBS, National Public Radio, NBC and ABC.

Prior to the keynote address, the morning includes a panel discussion from diversity, equity and business practitioners and professionals Deidre DeJear, Financial Empowerment Center,  Master Business Bootcamp & The Director’s Council Program Manager, Maurice Davis S.A. Program Manager Empower By Goddady, ReShonda Young, Director 24/7 Black Business & Entrepreneurship Accelerator, Jayne Armstrong, Iowa District Director Small Business Administration (SBA) and Dr. Kingsley Botchway II, Chief Officer of Human Resources and Equity for the Waterloo Community School District.
